Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. Ludwig Rudolf gold Ducat 1733 D-BID MS62 NGC, Brunswick mint, KM844, Fr-683, Welter-2428, Jones-2569. LVN legend variety with date in reverse legend. Purportedly the scarcer of two subtypes struck for this date, presenting quite nearly choice features. Presently the only example certified by NGC, we note that the Newman specimen we offered in 2014--an AU58 and the more common longer legend variety--brought $4112.
