Württemberg. Karl I Proof "Victory" Taler 1871 PR66 PCGS, Stuttgart mint, KM620, Dav-962. A beautiful piece, the obverse surfaces dappled with an original gunmetal color that only mildly subdues their underlying brilliance, while russet color accents the legends. With only one example ranking higher in the PCGS census, it seems appropriate to say that this taler is a fitting canvass to commemorate the conclusion of the Franco-Prussian War.
