Mexico
Philip V gold Cob Escudo 1714 Mo-J MS65 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM51.2. 3.32gm. From the 1715 Plate Fleet. Conditionally superior for this shipwreck single Escudo type, featuring sharp devices embedded in satiny golden frost at the centers and bounded by glowing facets at the outer registers. Very scarce in this quality, and with a clearly legible date, unlike so many other examples.
