The undisputed key date of the series, struck to a figure less than a fifth of the prior year and less than a fifteenth of the inaugural 1947 mintage. While admittedly a large portion of the issue survives in uncirculated condition, as the Standard Catalog of World Coins records that it was not released for circulation, few pieces exceed MS63, with MS65 being the highest grade awarded by NGC.
