Bank Markazi Iran, a set of obverse printer's archival photographs for unadopted designs of 500, 1000, 5000 and 10000 rials, March 1973, all with Shah Pahlavi at centre,, (Pick unlisted design), This portrait of the Shah was only used on the 1974 issues and after, the boarder designs are the same as the earlier 1971 issues. It is likely that this is the amended designs from the previous lot with the same portrait size. Pen annotations 'MARCH/AUG 1973', all mounted on card, unusual and rare, "This lot is subject to import restrictions into certain countries. Please enquire with us before buying.''.
