THESSALY, Thessalian League. Mid-late 1st century BC. AR Stater (22.5mm, 6.27 g, 1h). Alexandros and Menekrates, magistrates. Head of Zeus right, wearing oak wreath / Athena Itonia advancing right, holding shield and preparing to hurl spear; AΛEΞ-ANΔPO[Y] above spear; MENEKPAT[HΣ] in exergue. BCD Thessaly II 844; HGC 4, 210. Lightly toned, slightly off center on obverse. Good VF.
