CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 272-240 BC. AR Nomos (21mm, 5.78 g, 5h). Reduced standard. Warrior, holding shield and two spears, preparing to cast a third, on horseback right; ΔI to left, API-[ΣTO/KΛ-HΣ] in two lines below / Phalanthos, holding kantharos and trident, on dolphin left; to right, head of nymph left. Vlasto 877–81; HN Italy 1033. Toned, some roughness and deposits, a couple of minor scratches under tone, slightly off center on obverse. VF.
