Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.41 g, 7h). Rome mint. Group 1, struck August-December AD 117. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, wearing balteus / Trajan presenting globe to Hadrian, each holding scroll. RIC II.3 5; RIC II 2c; RSC 1009c. Lightly toned, slightly soft strike on reverse. Near EF. Very rare first issue, before ADOPTIO was added to the reverse legend.
