The Hardcastle Collection | George II (1727-60), Shillings (3), 1727, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, eight [?] strings to harp, plumes in angles (Pywell-Phillips - [cf. 329]; ESC 1694 [1189; S.3697); also, 1728, as last, rev. seven strings to harp, roses and plumes in angles (Pywell-Phillips - [cf. 330]; ESC 1696 [1192]; S.3698); lastly, 1735 (5 over 4 [?]), as before, rev. eight strings to harp (Pywell-Phillips 335; cf. ESC 1708 (1198A); S.3698), generally good to fair, all scarcer dates (3).
