The Hardcastle Collection | George III (1760-1820), Shilling, 1787, no stops on obverse, laureate draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. stops by date, crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, no semeé of hearts, crowns in angles (ESC 2138 [1223] R4; C&R 1006 R4; S.3745A), pleasantly toned, good very fine, a clear and very rare variety.
An example previously offered through the Spink Numismatic Circular (June 2001, ref. G3085) recently sold again in London for £1,000 + Buyer's Premium (SR 1, 25 September 2018, lot 282).
