The Hardcastle Collection | Sovereigns of England (17th Century), AR Counters, in the style of Simon Van de Passe, including, Edward I, three-quarter busts facing, rev. armorial shield surrounded by ornamental border, small size (2), 1.90g, 12h; Henry IV, similar, 2.70g, 2h; also, larger size (3), Edward IV, 2.41g, 12h; Elizabeth I, 1.98g, 1h; lastly, Anna of Denmark, wife of James I, 2.28g, 1h (MI 380/282), the smaller piece very fine, the larger issues rubbed and with minor splitting, generally fair to fine with evidence of gilding (5).
