Nepotianus (350) - AE Follis (Rome, as usurper AD 350, 3.92 g) - FL NEP CONSTANTINVS AVG Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right / VRBS ROMA Roma seated left on shield with spear and Victoria on globe (RIC 203) - VF, very rare, present in only a few collections! Flavius Iulius Popilius Nepotianus Constantinus (?-30 juni 350) was the son of Eutropia, daughter of Constantius I Chlorus and Theodora. After Constans I was murdered and Magnentius' accessed the throne Nepotianus revolted against Magnentius and proclaimed himself Roman Emperor on June 3 AD 350, with the help of some gladiators. Magnentius reacted swiftly and ordered the execution of Nepotianus, which took place on June 30, AD 350.
