Basiliscus and Marcus (475-476 AD) - AE60 (Cyzicus, 0.95 g) - Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right / Monogram of Basiliscus and Marcus (RIC X 1034) - VF, sandy patina, legens obv. partially legible, clear monogram, extremely rare and nice grade for issue. Extremely rare coin of Marcus the son of Zenonis and Basciliscus. This monogram type combines the names of Basiliscus and Marcus (the prominent M) and probably came after the son's elevation to Augustus, but the exact date is uncertain. Only a few worn examples known, but none in this quality.
