EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy IV, (222-204 B.C.), silver tetradrachm (Lorber describes as a stater), (13.95 g), Tyre mint, issued near end of reign, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front club and **TRU* monogram, to right **W/S*, plain between legs around **SWTHROS PTOLEMAIOU*, (S.7837, CTE 926, Sv.1180, BMC 25, SNG Cop 504). Bright, trace of hoard patination, otherwise extremely fine and rare.

Sear notes that the **SW* on the reverse probably refers to Sosibios the chief minister of Ptolemy IV.
