Roman Empire, Probus, Antoninian, Lugdunum - very rare bust

All consular busts from Lugdunum, including this spectacular H6 bust , (struck during the 5th emmission) are extremely rare and always very sought-after by collectors.

Virtually as struck and with complete silvering!

Provenance: purchased from CGB in 2016.

Obverse: Radiate bust left in consular robe, holding victory on globe (victoriola), legend:
IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG;

Reverse: Virtvs dressed as amazon with one bare breast visible standing left, holding Victory and spear, hand on shield, legend:
VIRTVS AVG; In exergue IIII

Silver, diameter 22 mm, weight 4,06 g, axis 12 h.

Bardzo ładny egzemplarz z jednym z najrzadszych w Lugdunum typie popiersia.

Awers: popiersie cesarza w szacie konsularnej z Wiktorią na globie, w koronie promienistej, w lewo, w otoku legenda:
IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG;

Rewers: Virtus stojąca w lewo w tunice z odsłoniętą piersią, trzyma Wiktorię i włócznię z tarczą, w otoku legenda:
VIRTVS AVG, w odcinku IIII;

Srebro bilonowe, średnica 22 mm, waga 4,06 g, oś 12 h.

Moneta bardzo rzadka, zwłaszcza w takim stanie zachowania.
