Roman Empire, Probus, Antoninian, Roma - very rare

Scarce and desirable reverse type struck only during the 1st emission at Rome mint.

Small flan crack at 7h. Otherwise virtually as struck and with wonderful details. Very rare in such a great condition!

Provenance: Ex S. Luethi collection - acquired in 2017

Obverse: Radiate, cuirassed and draped bust right, seen from back, legend:
IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG;

Reverse: Emperor standing left, between two ensigns, right hand raised, left hand holding sceptre, legend:

P M TR P COS P P; In exergue XXIE

Silver, diameter 22 mm, weight 3,84 g, axis 12 h.
