Roman Empire, Probus, Antoninian, Serdica - very rare bust
A magnificent example of this extremely rare bust type (much, much, much rarer than the common cnsular bust with scipio to left) with wonderful details and full silvering!
Apparently only the 3rd specimen of this exact type known in the world!
Provenance: Savoca coins online auction 6 lot 513 (december 2015).
Obverse: radiate bust left in consular robe (without the usual scipio), legend:
IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG;
Reverse: Sol in spread quadriga, holding globe and whip, legend:
SOLI INVICTO; In exergue KAB;
Silver, diameter 22-23 mm, weight 3,61 g, axis 6 h.

Moneta bardzo rzadka, zwłaszcza w takim stanie zachowania.
