Crawford 350A/1c; BMCRR Rome 2611; RSC Ogulnia 1. 3.98g, 20mm, 11h.

Near Mint State; some areas of flat-strike.

From the Andrew McCabe Collection, collector's ticket included;
Privately purchased from Barry Murphy, 2006.

"Most Republican moneyer colleges struck in sequence, sometimes with indications of who struck first. The OGVL GAR VER issue is a very deliberate expression of the moneyers wish to show they minted their coins together and in parallel. There are no consistent stylistic differences between the five signed denarius types to suggest any ordering." - Andrew McCabe.
