Charles Day Rose, M.P., British-Canadian businessman, leading racehorse breeder, yachtsman, Liberal politician and MP for Newmarket. As President of the Royal Aero Club, he had been to an aviation meeting at Hendon when he died of a heart attack in his car on the journey home. Charles Day Rose has also been suggested as the inspiration for Toad in The Wind in the Willows.
