Ex Baldwin's vault.
Henri de La Tour d'Auvergne, vicomte de Turenne (1611-1675), was revered as France's greatest general before Napoleon and following the de-consecration of the basilica of St-Denis, in 1793, his was the only exhumed corpse to be spared an ignominious re-burial. Napoleon had the corpse moved, in an elaborate public translation, to its present location in the main floor of the Church of the Dome of the Invalides, then the Republican Temple of Mars.
