China People's Bank of China 5 Yuan 1949 Pick 814a S/M#C282 PMG About Uncirculated 55. Although this is the second lowest denomination of the series, it is surprisingly rare in any grade. As inflation rapidly rose, the lower denominations were less useful, and by 1955, they were redeemed. Due to the scarcity of this banknote, it is no surprise that we have only offered this type once previously. Only brief circulation is seen on this smaller-sized note. The vast majority of these notes graded in the PMG Population Report are of lesser quality, and only a scant few are graded Uncirculated.
