China People's Bank of China 10,000 Yuan 1951 Pick 858a S/M#C282 PMG Very Fine 20 Net. All 1951 dated Outer Province types are rare, with this highest denomination note being especially scarce. Almost all extant examples have repairs, as the few that escaped the redemption process were ravished by circulation. As the highest denomination, issuance was limited. All banknotes of this series were manufactured crudely. As such, they wore out unusually quickly. Despite some stains and restoration, the overall visual appeal is still quite good. We have not offered this type in issued form since 2014. Since then, only a select few have been offered for sale. The pleasing camel motif at front is on full display. The back features text in Uyghur and Mongolian.
