China Bank of Canton Limited, Shanghai 1 Dollar 1.1.1920 Pick S153F S/M#K63-11 PMG Fine 12 Net. As is the case with many banknotes in the Specialized Catalog, Specimen often outnumber extant issued examples, and this note is one of that fate. At the time of cataloging, this is one of only four notes graded in the PMG Population Report. Additionally, this is the first issued example in a PMG third party holder offered for sale, and only the second issued note to appear in the last decade. Despite extensive circulation, all details are visible on this initial denomination. The Shanghai Bund is engraved at front, and Hong Kong's waterfront is portrayed at back. Restoration is mentioned, which was executed to fortify the note to be enjoyed by future generations. We have not offered this type in issued form.
