This highest denomination banknote is not confirmed in issued form, leaving Specimen and other prototypes as the only means to date to acquire this type. If issued examples do exist for this denomination, the sheer face value in 1901 Hong Kong would have most likely prevented any from being saved for posterity. All design elements are on full display despite the 119 years that have passed since this Specimen was created. A tastefully small perforated cancellation is seen in lieu of signatures. Serial numbers have been omitted. Only two examples have been sold previously, with the most recent sale being in 2015.
