Republic Yuan Shih-kai Mint Error - Double Struck in Collar "Plumed Hat" Dollar Year 3 (1914) AU55 PCGS, Tientsin mint, KM-Y322, L&M-858, Kann-642. Generally not a type that is found with serious minting or engraving errors, as compared to, for instance, the Li Yuan-hung and Memento Dollar series, with the offering showing clear doubling toward the left of Yuan Shih-kai's bust and in the central characters on the reverse. For the collector's reference, Kann recorded a similar error to the L. Giorgi-signed pattern of this type, which showed distinct doubling in the eyes (Kann-642d).
