Republic Yuan Shih-kai Mint Error - Obverse Die Gouge Dollar Year 10 (1921) MS62 NGC, KM-Y329.6, L&M-79. An interesting mint error type, whereby a gouge in the obverse die has left a raised mark line over Yuan Shih-kai's cheek. Noteworthy for its prominent central position, and a rare error for any coin, including this issue, as any dies with such a defect would quite likely have been quickly replaced.
