Republic Tsao Kun silver "Inauguration" Medal ND (1923) MS64+ NGC, Barac-149, KM-X1231, L&M-960, Kann-Plate 189, WS-0106. 36mm. Plain edge. An extremely impressive rendition of this rare medal produced for Tsao Kun's inauguration as President of the Republic, preserved at a level typically unseen for the type. Usually found with the original suspension, or with the suspension removed, this specimen appears to have been produced in a highly "dollar-like" format free of any sign of mounting on the edges. The surfaces are radiant and original, allowing a full appreciation of the details of Tsao Kun's military portrait. Presently the finest certified, and difficult to imagine existing much nicer.
