Stemming from a notably difficult set of issues, with the Gold & Silver Coins of China Standard Catalogue suggesting that while these Series IV coins had a planned mintage of 1,200 pieces, as few as 373-383 were actually struck per type (this Chinese Chess piece carrying a figure of 375); in fact, we have not sold an example since 2013.
