Salonina, Augusta, 254-268. Antoninianus (Bronze, 20 mm, 3.00 g, 7 h), Siscia, 267-268. SALONINA AVG Draped bust of Salonina set to right on crescent. Rev. PIETAS AVG / S - I Pietas standing front, head to left, holding box of perfumes in her left hand and sacrificing with her right over altar before her. MIR -, cf. 1472 (for reverse, but S not retrograde) and 1473r (for obverse). An interesting hybrid issue. Minor areas of weakness, otherwise, extremely fine.


This interesting issue combines an obverse of Salonina with the S - I mark of Gallienus.
