Cross pommée, fleuronée at base; in angles, IC - XC / NI-KA. CCS 4a. Metcalf, Crusades, 65. Porteous 17. Wäckerlin 85ff. Attractive earthen highlights on a light green patina. Traces of overstriking, otherwise, very fine.


This coin was overstruck on another follis of Tancred (see above, lot 1754), with considerable parts of the undertype still visible.
