ISLAMIC, Ayyubids. Mayyafariqin & Jabal Sinjar. al-Awhad Najm al-Din Ayyub, AH 596-607 / AD 1200-1210. Dirham (Bronze, 30 mm, 9.62 g, 12 h), Mayyafariqin, AH 605 = AD 1208/1209. Draped facing bust, wearing headdress, earrings and mantle; in field to left and right, as well as in outer margin, Legend in Kufic. Rev. Legend in Kufic within and around linear six-pointed star formed by two triangles. Balog, Ayyubids, 845. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
