KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 4.23 g, 12 h), Sardes, struck under Menander or Kleitos, 322-319/8. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, TI above monogram; below throne, torch. Price P82. Minor scrape on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
