SASANIAN KINGS. Hormizd V or VI, 631/2. Drachm (Silver, 32 mm, 3.63 g, 3 h), WYHC (the Treasury mint), RY 2 = AD 632. Draped bust of Hormizd VI to right, wearing elaborate mural crown with frontal crescent, two wings and star set on crescent; behind head, AFZUT GDH ('may his kingship increase' in Pahlawi); before head, WHLMZD ('Hormizd' in Pahlawi). Rev. Fire altar flanked by two attendants; in upper left field, six-pointed star; in upper right field, crescent; to left, date; to right, WYHC (name of the mint in Pahlawi). SSCT 4338. Somewhat rough and with a minor flan crack, otherwise, very fine.
