CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 302-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15.5 mm, 2.93 g, 6 h). Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with Skylla. Rev. [TAPANTINΩN] Owl with spread wings standing right on thunderbolt, head facing; to right, [ΣΩ]. HN III 1018. SNG ANS 1317-1319. Vlasto 1068-1074. Uniform dark find patina. A couple of small edge chips on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
