Uncertain Aramaic inscription Diademed head of an uncertain lunar god to right, crescent on forehead. Rev. Inverted S C; above, crescent; below, star; all within laurel wreath. Cf. Slocum p. 45, pl. 7, B (Singara; without star). SNG Copenhagen -. Cf. Walker Type B, 11-12 (without star). Very rare with a lunar deity as opposed to the solar deity Shamash on the obverse. Green patina. very fine.
