AΓΡΙΠΕΙΝΑ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΗ Draped bust of Agrippina to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΣΑ ΚΛΕΩΝΟΣ ΑΡΧΙΕΡΗΑ ΕVΜΕΝΕΩΝ Cybele seated to left on throne, holding patera and resting elbow upon tympanum. BMC 44. RPC 3151. Dark green-black patina. Porosity, otherwise, very fine.


This is one of the very few Roman coins that was struck under the authority of a female official.
