KINGS of MACEDON. Philip V. 221-179 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29.5mm, 16.83 g, 12h). Attic standard. Pella or Amphipolis mint. Struck circa 202-200 BC. Head of the hero Perseus left, wearing winged helmet surmounted by griffin's head; harpa in background; all in the center of a Macedonian shield / Club within oak wreath tying to left. Burrer, Tetradrachmenprägung, Group 2, 34 (A9/R32); HGC 3, 1056. Attractively toned, scattered marks. VF. Rare variety with beardless Perseus.
