Nero Claudius Drusus. Died 9 BC. AR Denarius (17mm, 3.60 g, 3h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Struck under Claudius, AD 41-42. NERO CLAVDIVS • DRVSVS • GERMANICVS • IMP, head left, wearing oak wreath (corona civica) / DE GERMANIS on architrave of triumphal arch surmounted by equestrian statue left between two trophies; rider raises right hand in act of address, holding spear in left hand. RIC I 72 (Claudius) var. (laureate); von Kaenel Type 14 (unlisted dies); Lyon 27 (unlisted dies); RSC 4; BMCRE 101-3 (Claudius) var. (same); BN 6 (Claudius). Old cabinet tone, areas of minor porosity, reverse slightly off center. Good VF.
