Mint in East Anglia; Tila, moneyer. + EΛDVVEΛRD REX (all retrograde), diademed bust left / TILI M/ONETΛ (TΛ inverted) in two lines; three crosses pattée between, trefoils above and below. Vatican Hoard 451 = SCBI 20 (Mack) 751 (this coin); cf. CTCE 40; North 651; SCBC 1084. Wonderful old cabinet tone. Near EF. Characterful East Anglian portrait. Very rare.
