Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.61 g, 6h). Uncertain Spanish mint (Colonia Caesaraugusta?). Struck circa 19-18 BC. CAESAR AVGVSTVS, head left, wearing oak wreath / S • P • Q • R across upper field, Victory flying left, holding wreath in right hand above round shield inscribed CL•V, resting against tall column. RIC I 48; RSC 291; BMCRE –;BMCRR Rome –; BN 1327. Deeply toned, a few light cleaning scratches. VF. Very rare.
