Obverse: Edward, holding shield and sword, standing facing in ship; Reverse: Voided short cross potent over cross fleuree; in each angle, crown over lion passant over trefoil; at center, Lombardic E within quadrilobe; all within polylobe, with trefoils in spandrels. A handsome and nicely preserved and lustrous example of the type exhibiting somewhat of an uneven strike displaying nearly complete full legends with only small portions of the tops of some letters off of the flan. Some minor weakness and light signs of handling are noticed adding character to the popular always in demand type sure to see spirited bidding from the specialist.
