GREAT BRITAIN. Duo of Battle of Waterloo Silver Award Medals (2 Pieces), Instituted 1815. Grade Range: VERY FINE to CHOICE VERY FINE Details.
Both pieces: Barac-54. Obverse: Laureate head of Prince Regent George (IV) left; Reverse: Victory seated slightly left on base, holding palm frond and olive branch.

1) VERY FINE Details, clasp attached, with some light edge bruising. Edge: "Serj. WM. Gothard 2nd Batt. Grenad. Guards."

2) CHOICE VERY FINE Details, clasp removed, with some cleaning throughout. Edge: Plain.

These Waterloo medals are always popular items and, despite the noted distractions, stand as great touchstones to the Napoleonic Wars of the early 19th century.
