Obverse: VICTORIA ANNVM REGNI SEXAGESIMVM FELICITER CLAVDIT XX IVN MDCCCXCVII, crowned, veiled, and draped bust (with older, contemporary features) left; Reverse: LONGITVDO DIERVM IN DEXTERAEIVS - ET IN SINISTRA GLORIA, garlanded head (with younger features) left; garlanded branch below. A popular later issue commemorating the queen's monumental 60th year of reign, this interesting design features a dual portrait--her current appearance as well as her very youthful countenance at the outset of her lengthy reign. A few minor scuffs and hairlines are all that prevent this piece from attaining Mint State status.
