RUSSIA. 5 Rubles Novodel, 1794-CNB. St. Petersburg Mint. Catherine II (the Great). NGC Unc Details--Obverse Cleaned.
Fr-130b; cf. KM-C-78c (for regular issue); Bit-H98 (R2). A rather RARE novodel issue, this emission from late in the reign of Catherine II does exhibit some minor cleaning marks, yet otherwise features no evidence of handling and still possesses a great deal of lustrous brilliance shimmering throughout. An exceptional example for the collector of Russian patterns and special issues.
