EL SALVADOR. 20 Pesos, 1892-CAM. San Salvador Mint. NGC AU-58.
KM-118; Fr-2. Mintage: 300. A wholly attractive example of this Central American rarity that displays strong gleam in the fields with moderate, mostly orange colored tone over the surfaces. While the grade suggests past circulation, no real friction on the tops of the designs is apparent, and the few minor marks that are seen are typical of all known survivors. As such, this solidly pedigreed example remains among the finest known with only a few Mint State certified examples (none which appear above the MS-61 grade) that have been certified higher.
