Equally gratifying, if not more so, is the strike, which is among the finest seen for the date, depicting a chiseled portrait of Ferdinand VII and sharp detail within the reverse shield that is seldom exceeded; an unquestionably sharper coin than even the NGC-graded MS-66★ that was sold last year for $24,000.
