MEXICO. Real, 1846-Go PM. Guanajuato Mint. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield.
KM-372.8. A dramatically toned near-Gem of the issue that features distinguishable patches of blue, green, orange and red tone on the cap and rays side, whereas the eagle side displays an intermingling of all. As a date, not designated in any reference we're aware of as particularly elusive, however as the only example graded by PCGS or NGC, this anecdotally suggests otherwise. In any event, certainly worthy of admiration as an elite example of the type, and potentially a real sleeper coin that should be coveted by the specialist as well.
From the Matthew Orsini Collection.
Estimate: $200.00- $400.00
