CANADA. Newfoundland. 5 Cents, 1880. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-66 Gold Shield.
KM-2. The sole second finest certified of the date on the PCGS population report, only one finer (MS 67). This lovely choice Gem uncirculated silver minor coin displaying very attractive richly toned satiny surfaces with cartwheel luster on both sides that pops out when rotating in the light. The visually pleasing old cabinet patina has the appearance of properly cared for and stored old silver flatware displaying lovely dove gray color in the centers and the high points complemented by slate patina near the edges on both sides, but more spread out on the reverse, exhibiting highly attractive mottled iridescent hues adding to its overall eye appeal. A fantastic representative of this Victorian type in an elite state of preservation that seldom appears in the marketplace a survivor worthy of serious consideration from the connoisseur of Canadian or specialist of world minor coinage.

Estimate: $7000.00- $10000.00
