Fr-37; KM-157; Cal-Type 180 # 1627; Cayon-14445; Grove-1698; Onza-1015. Transitional bust type. Tied for finest certified of the date with one other example on the NGC population report, none finer; no Mint State examples have been certified at PCGS. A SCARCE and popular short lived two year type struck with the bust of Charles III, but in the name of Charles IV. A lovely nicely preserved example of the type with smooth lustrous surfaces offering much flash complemented by attractive light orange tone in the peripheries.
