Fr-38; KM-143.1; Cal-Type 160 # 1483; Cayon-14320; Grove-1675. Transitional bust type. A SCARCE two year type struck in the name of Charles IV, but with the bust of Charles III. A wholesome moderately worn example of this popular short lived type with signs of wear consistent for the grade and plenty of remaining luster in the protected areas. The tops of the devices display lovely pale orange tone complementing the bright yellow gold coloration in the peripheries offering a pleasing appearance.
